One of my dearest friends from childhood recently got married this past summer. Lucky for her, her aunt is a baking connoisseur and baked hundreds of these fondant cakes for each family to take home from her wedding. They were so classy and gorgeous. The colors matched her theme- vivid reds and blues to reflect the New York Botanical Garden, where the event was held. It was so clever to present them in clear plastic boxes-- this highlighted the main attraction of the party favor- the cake itself! They were filled inside with decadent fruit cakes which my mom and I enjoyed with tea over the next few days!
